Evening all…

First, let me explain what this blog is all about. I’ve been a Rock Band player for the last 18 months or so ever since Rock Band was released in the UK way back in May 2008. During that time, I’ve dabbled with all 4 of the instruments at Expert level, mainly drums and guitar.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, back in June 2009 I thought I’d have a go at singing JEREMY by Pearl Jam after singing along to it so many times in the car. I’d never really gave much interest at singing on Rock Band due to me not being able to sing one bit but, to my surprise, I got a sightread Expert FC*. I decided to give ONCE a try as well. Again, I got a sightread Expert FC.

I had a go at EVEN FLOW as well. Harder than I thought.

So yeah, these 2 sightread FCs encouraged me to see how many songs I could 100% on Rock Band 2 and this blog will show that, even if you’re a lousy singing and you understand the vocal mechanics of this game pretty well, anyone can sing well on it.

*Glossary:
sightread = to play or sing a song on a game without having previously played it or even seen the note chart.
FC = to hit 100% of the notes or phrases without breaking your notestreak or phrasestreak once and retain your multiplier throughout.
